MEN’S BREAKFAST HISTORY
Although the group do not meet now, for a number of years a few men got together on a Saturday morning to meet at St Cedd’s for a breakfast together. I think it was a tribute to a group that ran many years before – the Men’s Society.
Then just before Christmas, they use to have the big fry up and any profits raised in the year went with other monetary and clothing donated and went to help with the work at Beacon House. Those mainly in charge of this group were John Coleman, David Millin and John Grant.
In their former guise as the Men’s Society, Barbara Stephens says that this ran for many years, where dinners were held and they also had a diocese day here too.
