Father Nicholas spoke of how Anglicans are the rich tradition of hymnody we have inherited and which adorns our worship throughout the year. Hymns are so much a part of the way we do things in the Church of England. He went on to talk about hymns and singing.
An appeal was again put out for donations for Easter flowers.
Brenda thanked those who covered in her absence last month. Sue led the meditation and a collection, which raised £50, was made for the Ethical Gift Scheme for “Make a Mothers’ Day”. This month they are due a visit from Gilly Robson.
Childrens’ Home Boxes
The count has been made and the total giving appears to be around the £500 mark.
The Art Exhibition was now pending and volunteers were asked to help out.
News from Stanway Green Lodge
They recently held their Pancake Day and had also been involved in making some banana cupcakes. Also on the agenda were some art classes and card making. The Iceni Academy also paid another visit. Recently they were entertained by Lillian Lace who performed some old time East End favourites whilst dressed in a Victorian outfit.
