From the vicar
Fr Nicholas commented how dry it had been in this area, compared to where he had been in the Midlands whilst visiting his brother. He mentioned how the harvest was now in from the land and he thanked those who had done this and for those who harvested the sea.
A list had been prepared of the best things to bring to the Harvest Thanksgiving Service at 10am on Sunday 9th October which will be passed on to Beacon House.
Amanda Westbrook a director of the trust that runs Balkerne Gardens came and gave an illustrated talk about the Residential Care Home.
Ride and Stride
Thanks was given to all who had helped to man the church.
The Financial Report had been published and income for the year was down about £4,000 from 2015 and stood at £18,980.80 compared to £23,073.90. .
News from Stanway Green Lodge
A trip had been made to Wyvale Garden Centre where they had a guided tour and how they plan the displays during the different seasons. After this they had some free time to look around at the bedding plants as well as the spring bulbs. Then they had a delicious cream tea in the garden café.
