The Sunday of June saw the church being the First Sunday in Trinity and we were back in Ordinary Time.

 

 

Art Exhibition and May Fayre

A success time as a figure of £1,769 was made which was around £200 more than in 2017, with 30 paintings sold.  Thanks was given to all who helped.

 

 

Mothers Union

There was no meeting in the month due to the Art Exhibition.

 

     

St Peter and St Paul

An account was made about these two saints who were celebrated on 29th June each year.

 

 

Thursday Afternoon Group

Recent donations have seen £40 given to each of – Water Aid, Age UK and the Essex Air Ambulance.

 

 

News from Stanway Green Lodge

A wonderful afternoon saw St George celebrated on April 23rd with a themed event. After a short break it was nice to welcome back the Iceni Academy to the home. Now that the weather has improved, much more has been done in the gardens.

 

 

Matthew’s Marathon Journey

Matthew completed his London Marathon in a time of five hours and 42 minutes on what was an extremely hot day. With proceeds from the quiz night he held, he raised £2,000 for the charity – “Children with Cancer”.
