From the vicar

Fr Nicholas mentioned the fact that he had announced his retirement during the Easter morning service. Saying that he had been in the parish over 14 years. He had hoped to stay here until he was officially of retirement age of 66, but things in the Diocese had changed. He had met many lovely people in Shrub End but now he had to start sorting and packing all his belongings.He announced that his last services would be on July 14th.

    

Art Exhibition

Dates and times were set out for the Art Show in the first weekend in May.  

 

Mothers’ Union

Due to the Art Exhibition, there was no meeting in the month.  .   

 

News from Stanway Green Lodge

The month’s activities included the completion of things with the sunflowers and other vegetables and plants have been put out into the ground. More work is still going on in the rockery. They had received a visit from St Teresa’s School and Cynthia continued with her popularity on her Facebook work.
