From the vicar
Fr Nicholas spoke of his time in South London when he was an assistant curate in the North Lamberth team. He spoke about Angels bein being God’s Messengers carrying our prayers to God.
Details were given by Terry of the Christian Aid collections from house to house, in supermarkets and from our own church donations.
Donations were given in aid of the Nepal Earthquake Appeal which saw the giving of £192 sent.
The Big Wheels Appeal was due to be held in September on the 12th. The money raised from the event will help people both at home and abroad who are refugees, survivors of abuse or living in poverty. The branch meeting was due on the 2nd when Chris Walker from the Children’s Society was due to speak.
Ride and Stride
The event was due to take place on the 12th and volunteers were requested to man the churches.
This year’s Harvest Thanksgiving Service will be on Sunday 11th October at 10am at All Saints. After the service there was to be a Harvest Lunch starting about 1pm. The offerings from the service will go to Beacon House. .
Day Coach Trip to Anglesey Abbey
The Friends Grroup were planning a day coach trip to Anglesey Abbey in Cambridgeshire on Thursday 24th September. The house, gardens and Lode Mill are owned by the National Trust.
