From the churchwardens

In the continuing absence of Fr Nicholas, a report was prepared by Robin. He spoke of the beauty of the spring flowers and gave the latest news of our vicar who was recovering at home. He thanked the retired priests who were covering the service duties. He spoke of how well the Lenten Course was going and of the impending AGM.

Deanery news 

Once more there will be the normal Good Frida service at the Mercury Theatre at 730 and the good news was that Bishop Roger would be speaking. It was also reported to being General Synod year when representatives will be selected. In our parish Terry and Diane attend.

Electoral roll

Once more the list is to be updated. So names will be needed to be added or taken off.

Church flowers

Thanks were given for all who have donated towards church Easter Flowers. Donations are still welcomed.

Thank yous

Brenda thanked all who had sent her cards after her recent stay in hospital.

Art Exhibition

Plans are well advanced for the forthcoming Art Exhibition. There will some specific demonstations given.  Volunteers were requsted to help with the various jobs.

Mothers' Union

In her report Brenda spoke of her thoughts about how she would like to meet Mary Sumner. The talk in April was to be by Eric Blowers on "An Easter Focus".

Christian Aid week

As in past years, we will not be a house to house collection. However help could be offered to collect in stores.

Coach trip to Audley End

A trip out was due soon on 7th May to Audley End. Bookings are being taken for this.
