From the vicar
Fr Nicholas thanked all those who committed themselves to follow the events of Holy Week from Maunday Thursday through to Easter and especially those who attended the Vigil. The worries of the world were still a concern to us all and tensions continued in many lands.
Art Exhibition
Again help was requested for people to assist at the Art exhibition..
Mothers Union
The speaker at the previous meeting had been Christopher Parkinson who gave a talk on stained and painted windows. In June, there will be a cream tea afternoon.
Christian Aid Week
his will be between 13th and 18th May when envelopes will be available in the church for donations to be made.
Easter Flowers
Jennifer gave an account about the Easter flowers and expressed her thanks of all who helped or donated.
News from Stanway Green Lodge
A wonderful Easter was held with Easter Eggs which were decorated. Now that the weather had improved, some work had now taken place in the gardens. A fund raising event for Sports Relief had raised £300 with the events taking place indoors and there was a visit from former BBC presenter and journalist Liz Mullen.
