Before all the COVID19 virus issue fully arose, we did manage to get the April monthly magazine printed by the Sixth Form College.

It is uncertain at this stage whether a printed version will be done for a while but this information may be known in a few weeks’ time.

Failing that, I will try and create something online for you.

So please let your friends know that we are on the church website

When we last wrote, our two churches were open, but first they were closed for services but then private prayers.

Obviously at this difficult time, our church income will be very small but we will still have bills to pay but as the treasurer, I think we can survive.

Hopefully parishioners can put aside their weekly offerings and these can either posted as a cheque to me or kept until our churches are open again

Fortunately we do have money in the bank and we have around £1,000 coming in, all being well, from the rental of St Cedd’s House and from our covenant bank account, which should cover our expenditure.

To save money we have now turned off the heat at both churches.

I have told the Diocese that we cannot pay any Quota until further notice

In the last published magazine, there was a detailed Easter Message from Bishop Stephen Cotterell

From the churchwarden

At the time, Robin had outlined the format of the Communion Service, but since then everything has changed under the instructions of our Bishops. No churches services and no open churches for personal prayers.

The APCM was due to be held on Monday April 20th 2020 in the Annexe, but although the annual accounts have been prepared by myself (Brian) and checked by (Tom), and approved by the PCC, as I write these notes, I cannot see the meeting happening, but the PCC will advise you all of a date once that it has been agreed.

Art Exhibition

This was due to be held between Thursday 7th and 10th May and this has now been cancelled and all hanging fees have been refunded to the Artists.

Electoral Roll

This has to be redone this year ready for the APCM so there will now probably be time to verify or change your details.
